Our walnut adventure began in 2016. In pursuit of a healthy product, we started looking for land in Thrace, and established our first orchard on 500 acres of registered land parcels in the village of Dağyenice, Süleymanpaşa district, Tekirdağ. In February 2018, 2500 Chandler walnut seedlings were planted on 125 acres of our orchard, and pine nut seedlings were planted on 200 acres. Starting from August 2018, we began irrigating our orchard with a fully automated, modern pressurized drip irrigation system.
The altitude of our orchard ranges from a minimum of 450 meters to a maximum of 550 meters. The moist air from the Marmara Sea travels past Uçmakdere and reaches the peaks of the Ganos Mountains, leaving a relatively cool and humid climate on the northern slope of the mountain. Our orchard is covered with dense linden and oak trees up to the mountain peaks. Dense aromatic plants are observed in open areas. In our orchard, our agricultural engineer and technical team follow modern good agricultural practices under the supervision of your consultant from abroad.
We fell in love with walnut production and continued to search for additional lands. In 2019, we agreed on a 950-acre plot of land in the village of Kızılca Terzi, Şarköy district, Tekirdağ. The altitude of this orchard is approximately 100 meters. Our orchard is adjacent to Doluca and Chateau Kalpak vineyards and olive groves. Our orchard combines the pine breezes of the Ganos Mountains, the breezes of the Marmara Sea, and the breezes of the Saros Sea. In 2022, 400 acres of Chandler walnut seedlings were planted, and in 2024, the remaining 450 acres will be planted with approximately 15,000 Lauranne almond seedlings. In this orchard as well, under the control of the same consultancy firm, our agricultural engineer and technical team follow modern good agricultural practices.
The common goal of these two orchards is to become a respected walnut and almond orchard in the Marmara region with world-standard modern production and control techniques. Our aim is to deliver healthy local flavors to consumers in the Marmara region in a sustainable manner.
